If anybody is looking for an awesome hairdresser, you have to visit Cruz at Style Labb. He's worked in LA at Sally Hershberger's salon - stylist to the celebrities. He's done hair for Tori Spelling, Carmen Electra, and Holly Madison just to name a few. He is absolutely amazing. Visiting Children's Hospital in Plano

I had the opportunity to visit Children's Hospital in Plano before Thanksgiving. It really made me count my blessings. It is a beautiful hospital that provides excellent medical care to sick kids. I toured the hospital and met so many sweet children. The little girls especially thought it neat to meet a "real princess." It warms my heart to know that I can put my sash and crown on, go to Children's Hospital and make so many children smile, even when they are very sick. I'm looking forward to my next visit to Children's Hospital on December 11. We're hoping to do some Christmas arts and crafts.

Laura The Brow Queen

Ok ladies......we've all read it many, many times in countless magazines: The eyebrows accent the eyes and frame the face. But what if your eyebrows have been overplucked or incorrectly shaped, or you've never had your eyebrows done before? Answer: Laura the Brow Queen!!! Let me just tell you.....this wonderful lady knows her brows. She doesn't just wax your brows. She takes the time to study your facial features and educates you on what she's going to do and what YOU need to do (or not do in most instances). It had been years and years since I had my eyebrows done professionally. Laura worked her magic on me and put me on "eyebrow rehab". Translation: Don't touch your eyebrows! New! Mrs. North Texas 2010

I am so excited to announce that I have recently been crowned Mrs. North Texas 2010. I will be competing March 28, 2010, for the Mrs. Texas International Title in San Antonio, TX. My platform is "Passionate for Preemies." I'm teaming up with the March of Dimes to help bring more awareness of the growing rate of premature births and what we can do to get these numbers down. This subject is near and dear to my heart as my youngest son, Cruz, was delivered 7 weeks premature. He spent 3 weeks in the NICU at Presbyterian Hospital in Plano (now Texas Health Presbyterian Plano Hospital). He just turned 1 on August 22.
